SPEAK UP AFRICA

In 2010, Transparency International launched a series of projects in Africa to create Advocacy and Legal Advice Centres (ALACs) to give citizens the opportunity to report acts of corruption, as either victims or witnesses, and to pursue their complaints through the available legal channels .

By offering them legal advice and assistance, Transparency International empowers citizens to fight crimes at its source and then uses this as a basis to formulate tangible recommendations to improve governance. The web documentary “African voices against corruption” tells the stories of witnesses and victims of corruption in Cameroon, Madagascar and Niger.
